Ranking Criteria

This classification relies on more than 60 factors to determine the power index for each country, including the size of the armed forces, financial capabilities, logistical support, and geographical factors. The site also considers the size of countries and their technological advancement. However, some question the accuracy of these rankings, particularly since military data for some nations is classified and subject to various disclosure considerations.

Key factors considered in the ranking include manpower, population, available workforce, individuals fit for military service, active military personnel, reservists, paramilitary forces, and airpower, including the total number of aircraft, fighters, attack aircraft, transport aircraft, training aircraft, special mission aircraft, helicopters, and ground force capabilities, which encompass the number of tanks, armored vehicles, artillery, and rocket launchers.

The ranking also evaluates naval strength, which includes total naval assets, aircraft carriers, destroyers, frigates, submarines, patrol boats, and mine sweepers.
