Pakistan’s Global Advocacy for Palestinian and Kashmiri Rights

Pakistan, a nation born from a struggle for self-determination, has consistently championed the rights of oppressed peoples worldwide. This commitment extends to the complex and longstanding conflicts in Palestine and Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Pakistan firmly equates these two struggles and advocates for the right to self-determination for both the Palestinian and Kashmiri peoples.

Pakistan’s stance on these issues aligns with the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). The call for a just solution in both Palestine and Kashmir, guided by UNSC resolutions, is at the core of Pakistan’s foreign policy.

The UNSC has played a pivotal role in addressing the world’s most critical issues, and Pakistan believes that the resolutions pertaining to these conflicts must be honored and implemented.

Consistent with its principled position, Pakistan has continuously voiced the necessity for a complete withdrawal of Israel from the occupied Arab territories, including Jerusalem, and for Indian occupational forces to vacate IIOJK.

Pakistan recognizes the importance of territorial integrity and self-determination, which is not only a legal obligation but also a moral imperative.

Pakistan firmly stands for the restoration of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people. This includes their right to self-determination and sovereignty, leading to the establishment of an independent and viable state of Palestine.

Pakistan envisions this state based on the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds al-Sharif as its capital, acknowledging the historical and cultural significance of the city.

The enduring oppression by Israel and India is at the root of the indigenous freedom movements in both IIOJK and Palestine.

The legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian and Kashmiri people for self-determination, justice, and the end of occupation are responses to the injustices they have endured. Pakistan recognizes these struggles as quintessential expressions of their right to determine their own future.

Pakistan’s commitment to human rights extends to the grave violations occurring in IIOJK and Palestine.

These violations, ranging from unlawful detentions to civilian casualties and restrictions on freedom of movement, demand international attention and condemnation. Pakistan has consistently raised its voice against these violations, advocating for the rights and dignity of the affected populations.

Pakistan’s unwavering stance on the issues of Palestine and Kashmir reflects its commitment to the principles of self-determination, justice, and human rights. By equating these struggles, adhering to UNSC resolutions, and demanding a complete withdrawal of occupying forces, Pakistan stands as a beacon of hope for oppressed peoples around the world.

The road to lasting peace in both regions begins with the recognition of these principles and the implementation of just solutions, as Pakistan continues to advocate for the rights and freedom of those living in IIOJK and Palestine.
